[US] 2022 LA CLF Conference

Updated: Apr 17, 2022

The 2022 CLF Conference held at the San Gabriel Sheraton Hotel on April 11-13th was successfully held with over 400 pastors.

The Coffee with Pastors program was held in OPAL Hall before and after the morning and evening conference. Pastors from various cities and from the Greater LA area gathered together in close-knit settings at each table to have coffee, share words and testimonies, and became close friends.

Many pastors and presidents of theological institutions joined in the conference with prayer and congratulatory messages for the CLF.

  • John Hernandez - Senior Pastor of Whittier Church of God.

  • Pastor Paul Montaño - Lead Pastor of Crossroads Church of Long Beach

  • Pastor Richard Salazar - The Senior Pastor of New Harvest Christian Fellowship in Norwalk, California

  • Pastor Gilbert Salazar - Victory Outreach Pico Rivera.

  • Pastor Dr. Jon Chasteen - President of the King's University, Lead Pastor of Victory Church

  • Dr. Robb Brewer - The King’s University Executive Dean for Academics

  • Pastor Kyle Bauer - Senior Pastor of Pathway SFV Church

  • Tony Ding - Mayor of San Gabriel

  • Dr. Hillel Newman - Consul General of Israel to Pacific South West Region of the USA

  • Ross Maza - Councilmember of City of Alhambra

  • Michael Mckinney - President/Founder of Promise Christian University

  • Pastor José Luis Amezquita - Cornerstone en Español, Simi Valley, CA

  • Pastor Mwengu Siwiti - Pastor at South Sacramento Christian Church

  • Pastor Marvin Martinez - Iglesia Cristiana Monte de Sion, Gardena, CA

  • Alejandro Letona - Consul General of El Salvador in Los Angeles

In the afternoon of April 11th and 13th, there was a session to introduce Mind Education and Recreation, which are based on the Bible to lead the hearts of the youth. Many pastors participated enthusiastically and expressed great interest in Mind Education.

The 4th IYF Leaders Forum was held on the 2nd day of the conference on April 12th. More than 160 people participated in the event, including Mayors and Councilmembers of various cities, political and business figures, Consul Generals from 15 countries, and police chiefs. All were gathered for the purpose of leading the youth of the next generation. Consul General of Israel, Dr. Hillel Newman, gave congratulatory remarks.

"Shalom, thank you for inviting me to this wonderful and meaningful forum. I heard what Pastor Ock Soo Park, the founder, did for adolescents while traveling around the world. I really respect him. Deputy Prime Minister Elkin, whom he met during his visit to Israel, is also a friend of mine. The values that IYF is pursuing are what our society needs. I want to continue to work with IYF to change this society."

The Gracias Choir that has been preaching the gospel by performing Christmas Cantata for free for the past six years, also presented beautiful music in the morning and afternoon.

Jessica Adams (Greater Light Family church worship pastor)

“I work as a worship pastor in the church. The choir's performance was amazing. It's more important to listen to the chorus than to sing it. It's really hard to listen and sing with one voice. The choir does it all really well, being humble, while interpreting the song perfectly. The conductor leads all of this in one voice. It was such a perfect and beautiful performance that I couldn't help but to give a standing ovation. Our Christian leaders also want to work together like this with one voice.”

Pastor Ock Soo Park, the main guest speaker of the event, delivered the message for three days, emphasizing that we are not of a specific denomination but Christians who serve God, exchanging and uniting to preach the gospel together.

"I had such a great time in LA. I was nothing but a useless human being, and when I was 19, I was saved by the words of Romans 3:23,24. Since then, I've had nothing, but Jesus has had me and made me do things that I couldn't do. We sent over 1,000 missionaries to 69 countries, and people listened to the online Bible seminars through 655 stations. Let's all live by faith in Jesus, not by our efforts or works. We are Christians who serve the same God, not people of any denomination. Let's preach the gospel together."

I would like to thank all the pastors who partook in the purpose and will of the CLF and joined in this event, and I hope that our friendship will continue in God. Thank you.
