CLF President Pastor Youngkuk Park’s prayer followed by the speeches from Pastor Keith Reed and Pastor John Wilkerson. Through prayer, Pastor Youngkuk Park prayed that, “God’s promise to David, who was in despair and depression, is a promise of hope to us, and he will fill the hearts of the pastors with the Word to restore America, which has lost faith, with the gospel.
Gracias Choir performance
Following the beautiful performance of the Gracias Choir, Pastor Ock Soo Park, the world conference main lecturer, delivered the message as the founder of CLF.
Pastor Ock Soo Park began the sermon with a serious question, “What did the man who met the robber do to be saved?”
Pastor Ock Soo Park, who arrived in New York after the CLF conference in LA and the Easter conference in Mexico, started the first evening of the conference with the words of “the man who fell among thieves” in Luke chapter 10.
Pastor Ock Soo Park who asked a question to the pastors who filled the auditorium, “what did the man who was robbed do to be saved?” He testified of the gospel of grace and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, through Leviticus chapter 4, Jeremiah chapter 17, and Hebrews chapter 9-10, and the attendees responded with a warm applause.
Pastors who are listening to the Word attentively
“The sin offering in Leviticus is the shadow of Jesus Christ, who will die on the cross for our sins in the future, and the Sabbath is the shadow through which we, who are burdened with the heavy burden of sin, are lifted from our sins through Jesus Christ. Come to Jesus and he will take the burden of all my sins away! You will be free from sin! The Sabbath is there to teach us of sin. Its not through my works. God does not require anything from us to have our sins forgiven. Jesus alone is enough.”
In a desperate situation where Ziklag was burned and his family was taken captive, the beginning of David’s recovery of everything he had lost was his faith in the promise of God, “thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” The 2022 CLF World Conference will be the beginning of many pastors who have lost their members due to the Covid pandemic and lost their hope in ministry. We look forward to God’s work that will fill everyone’s heart with faith and hope for the remainder of their time here.
